Day 1 — Launch & Black Bar Lodge
Meet at Morrison's Lodge at 8:30 a.m. After gear up and safety briefing, launch onto the river and navigate Grave Creek and Black Bar Falls rapids. Arrive at the historic Black Bar Lodge for a family-style dinner and your first night in the wilderness.
Night at Black Bar LodgeDay 2 — Heart of the Canyon & Paradise Lodge
After breakfast, continue through Class II–IV rapids through the heart of the Wild & Scenic section. Explore side hikes, swimming holes, and wildlife along the way. Arrive at Paradise Lodge for warm showers, dinner, and a cozy evening with canyon views.
Night at Paradise LodgeDay 3 — Final Float & Take-Out
Enjoy breakfast at Paradise Lodge before a relaxed final float to the take-out at Foster Bar near Agness, Oregon (~2:00 p.m.). Free shuttle returns you to Morrison's Lodge by approximately 4:30–5:00 p.m.

What to know before your lodge-to-lodge rafting trip
Night one is at historic Black Bar Lodge, and night two is at Paradise Lodge. Both are reachable only by boat or trail. It's the only multi-day river trip in the lower 48 with this kind of off-the-grid lodge access.
Rooms have comfortable beds with fresh linens, a private or shared bathroom with hot showers and running water, and bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. There's no need to pack bedding or towels.
Yes, but it's limited. The lodges run on diesel generators, which shut off at 10:00 p.m. and come back on at 6:00 a.m. Please leave hair dryers and curling irons at home because the generators can't handle the load. If you use a CPAP machine, bring a battery that holds at least 8 hours of charge.
3-day lodge trips depart on Tuesdays, June through August. Lodge trips fill up fast, so we recommend booking early.

Yes. It's our most comfortable way to see the canyon, and no rafting experience is required. Guests who'd rather relax can ride in an oar boat while a guide rows. If anyone in your group has mobility or health concerns, talk with Hugh before booking so we can plan ahead.
Yes. Personal beverages aren't sold at the lodges, so bring your favorite beer, wine, or other drinks. Glass wine and liquor bottles are fine, but please bring beer in cans or plastic (no glass beer bottles). We provide coolers and ice, plus bottled water and soft drinks.
The lodges are separate businesses from Noah's. Their staff work hard to make your stay special, and a gratuity for them is appreciated. It's separate from your river guide gratuity.
