Noah’s Rogue River family legacy

Our Story

Three generations of river expertise, crafting unforgettable wilderness experiences on Oregon's Wild & Scenic Rogue River since 1974.

50 Years of Family Legacy

From Noah's vision in 1974 to today's multi-generational operation

Late 1960s

The Beginning

Noah Hague first fell in love with running rivers, discovering his passion for Oregon's whitewater.

1974

Company Founded

Noah Hague established "Noah's World of Water," becoming one of Oregon's most respected Rogue River rafting companies.

1984

Expansion to Ashland

The company moved to Ashland, Oregon, growing to become the region's largest outfitting company.

2006

Next Generation

After 30+ years, Noah retired. Hugh Hague (Noah's son) and his wife Alicia purchased the Rogue River Wilderness operations, while Bart & Catie Baldwin and Justin Wright took the Ashland-based day rafting operations.

Today

50 Years Strong

Hugh and Alicia continue the family tradition, raising their own children on the river and creating a multi-generational legacy of wilderness expertise.

Current Owners

Hugh & Alicia Hague

Hugh was raised on the river by his parents and has raised his own children there, creating a multi-generational legacy woven into every rapid, every campsite, and every story shared with guests.

"Rafting the Wild and Scenic Rogue River isn't just about the water — it's about connection, legacy, and shared experience."

— Hugh Hague

Together with his wife Alicia, Hugh carries forward Noah's original philosophy: The magic of rafting is "seeing what's around the next bend" – a sense of wonder that continues to drive their family business.

Their approach combines deep river knowledge, exceptional safety standards, and genuine hospitality. Every trip reflects their commitment to creating experiences that guests remember for a lifetime.

Emma, Noah’s Wilderness Adventures head chef
Head Chef

Emma: Culinary Artist

Born and raised on Hawaii's Big Island, Emma learned cooking from her multicultural community rather than formal training – mastering Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Hawaiian, and Filipino cuisine.

Her culinary journey took her through 13 countries, mostly on foot, learning local food traditions from pupusas in El Salvador to Bulgarian preservation techniques, from line cooking in Honduras to preparing octopus in Greece.

"Food is a radical way to summon the memory of a place – a storytelling medium that feeds body and spirit."

— Emma, Head Chef

Emma is 100% responsible for all food procurement, preparation, and packing. She personally crafts all signature dips, salad dressings, and salads, with a deep focus on nutrition as a simple, fulfilling way to regain control of one's health.

Described as "part mermaid and part pirate," Emma brings wonder and connection to every meal on the river.
