Our format on the river gives you the choice of active participation or full relaxation. You can choose, mix and match daily, what is right for you — be it in one of our Paddle Rafts, one of our one person, self-bailing, inflatable kayaks or in the comfort of our large rafts which have padded seats with back rests. Choose from three, or four-day Rogue river Camping trips or the three day Lodge trips. For these multi-day river adventures, breakfast, lunch, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, desserts are expertly prepared and served.

Absolutely everything that you and your family/friends need is provided for you. Cots, 10×10 tents where you can actually stand up inside, sleeping bags and sleeping pads are a few of the amenities provided at no additional cost, to guarantee you a comfortable camping experience. Your camp will be completely set upon your arrival. We don’t believe that our guests should set up tents or help in the kitchen, we believe that our guests should relax, have a cold beverage, and enjoy the setting and ambiance that the “Wild and Scenic” Rogue River provides us. Don’t forget that during the day, we are Rafting, Kayaking, Swimming, and exploring the grandeur of the Rogue. The evenings are spent enjoying the peace and solitude of the Canyon. Star gazing in the canyon is incredible, and many of our guest’s choose to sleep under the stars on our comfy cots and pads. This is a great trip for families, friend groups and corporate retreats. This adventure is appropriate for a wide range of folks from grandparents down to kids as young as 6 .

Your days on the river are filled with class 3 Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, Swimming, and exploring this amazing canyon. We will stop at numerous historical locations during your adventure. Our staff is extremely knowledgeable and enjoys sharing the history and tales from the last 150 years of Rogue River lore. Indian wars and miners’ feuds are a few of the unique pieces of our river’s history.
These are great family Rafting vacations, very appropriate for the Grandparents down to the littles as young as 6. We like to say that you will not find Wi-Fi in this Canyon, but you will connect. 😉
Don’t overlook that we also offer a 4-day option departing on Friday’s. Riverside Camping night one and then two glorious days at Paradise lodge where you can enjoy an entire extra day of hiking, swimming, or fishing. The only way you can get to Paradise is by river or trail, which makes for an incredible uncrowded lay over day in the Wilderness.
Wilderness Camp Meals
Food always tastes better in the Wilderness. Your camp dinners always start with appetizers ranging from our home smoked Rogue River Salmon to locally sourced gourmet cheeses. Smoked Oysters, Salami, Jalapeno Jelly and cream cheese are a few of the favorites. Our Dinner menus vary between Salmon, Steak, Pork Loin, Marinated grilled Chicken with lots of great sides. We also have vegetarian menus that include stuffed Portabella mushrooms, Tofu kabobs and a variety of other options. Gluten free, no problem. We are proud of our flexibility when it comes to our guest’s dietary needs. We provide you with a guest questionnaire well in advance of your trip which allows you to notify us of any special needs that you may have. If you are joining us for a Wilderness Lodge trip, the friendly staff at Black Bar and Paradise Lodges will be preparing incredible meals for us while we enjoy the setting and ambiance of their beautiful properties.
